About YYG…

The purpose of YYG is to help Couples of Biblical Faith form a Scripture-centered foundation for their marriages & families. That purpose is found in the subtitle ‘Making Sense of Becoming One Flesh’. This is how YYG Makes Sense of Becoming One Flesh:

...by using Scripture as the source,  YYG is fully Biblical: it is a thorough, accurate, and comprehensive account of The LORD God’s Marriage Covenant written in plain English for pew people [The Church Body] by a pew person. YYG is not bound by religious doctrine or oral tradition that may not even be Bibilical

...by quoting The Bible over 300 times totaling over 400 verses, split equally between the Jewish Tanakh and New Testament, YYG is a premier faith-forward, Bible-based, Scripture-centered relationship toolbox for Couples of Biblical Faith who seek Father’s Face and walk their faith talk

...by recognizing that Becoming One Flesh is The Crown Jewel of Creation: in Part One of The YYG Book, we see that NOTHING about Creation was random. Indeed, EVERYTHING The LORD God created was for the benefit of the man & woman [especially The One Flesh Marriage] - it was all about preparing a place on earth for His Most Beloved Creation

...by believing God crafted the man to be Family Shepherd. Because today’s culture is hostile to The Bible and has no regard for the roles both women and men play in the lifeblood of their families, YYG asks the question: who’s teaching our sons-men-husbands-dads to become the Family Shepherds their wives and children will readily follow? Part Three of the YYG Book paints the picture of The Biblical Shepherd

...by developing a toolbox with a variety of resources using different approaches for couples with different learning styles and who are at different stages in their relationships

...by igniting a worldwide Marriage Revival sparked by re-establishing The One Flesh Marriage as the only divinely ordained Covenant Relationship God crafted for the man & woman

2400 years ago, Father proclaimed “I hate the violent dismembering of the ‘one flesh’ of marriage…” [Malachi 2:16, The Message Bible]. Knowing God hates divorce, The Church Body must be fully equipped in the foundational princples of The Marriage Covenant by Making Sense of Becoming One Flesh

In March 2026, we added a description of the betrothal to the Preface to Part Two which includes this excerpt: … Being betrothed meant Joseph was considered a 'husband' despite the fact they had not yet consummated the marriage nor began living together [this is why The Virgin Birth complicated matters].  Being betrothed also meant Mary & Joseph had all the legal protections & social appearances of being married. Because of its legal status, breaking a betrothal would have required an official divorce
